BIOGRAPHY
Bill has drawn all his life, starting as a young boy under the tutelage of his grandmother, an accomplished oil painter. She schooled him in the techniques of using colors to draw light and a shadow, teaching him that nothing the eye sees is just one color. Bill’s favorite medium has always been pencils and color markers.
After spending ten years building race cars and working as a pit crew member for numerous race teams—with his sketchbook never far from his side—Bill decided to combine his racing memories with his artistic background to create a vision to share with race fans and art lovers throughout the world. He launched his art studio in 1999 and is now well known for his hand-drawn, intricate race scenes, including auto and motorcycle racing, and other sports related moments.
Bill has spent the last few years perfecting a unique and different technique whereby he draws free-hand in a digital world and then uses a giclee process to print his original drawings and limited edition pieces (all signed and numbered). The result is an astounding account of what sports fans all over the world flock to see. It is through these images that Bill gives homage to the heroes of the sport.
Bill remains closely connected to the sports world by displaying his work at car events and races, and donating his art to numerous charity events. Bill has an established client base around the world, drawing one-of-a-kinds depicting both sports and non-sports related events.
